GCS: Pipe makes advanced drainage design possible. Traverse a path with GCS: Pipe to generate the local topography to calculate a lay
or use GCS: Topo to rapidly topo the entire site and use that data to lay out a plan on a map in advance with GCS: Pipe. No flagging is required - when you are ready to begin, GCS: Pipe calculates the most efficient depth from your plan and any pre-rip passes and displays needed adjustments for the operator. For further automation, the plow can be driven automatically with machine control equipment and GCS: Control.

Other Notable Features

  • Curved paths as easy to lay as straight paths with computerized pipelaying.
  • The best invert fit for every tile line installed is calculated to contractor specifications: minimum and maximum slope, desired optimum tile depth, and others.
  • If using a laser exclusively, depth can be controlled even if the grade of the laser is the opposite of the pass. If a laser is used in conjunction with GPS, the laser serves only as a reference.
  • Real pass and planned pass are displayed together graphically on screen, allowing the operator to correct course as necessary.
  • Complications in meeting previously set criteria, such as minimum depth, maximum depth, or ideal depth are displayed graphically on screen before and during installation. Manual operator adjustments, such as compensating for rocks, cause the program to instantly recalculate the lay. The
operator knows before he gets outside the set parameters for the lay.
  • Data is easily exported to, or imported from, most civil/survey CAD programs.
  • Calculates the actual footage of lay as opposed to how much pipe was recorded on a mechanical reader. You can show to the customer exactly what he paid for and give him an accurate map of the pipe.
  • The 3D lay of the pipe is recorded so that at any time in the future an operator can go back and accurately locate the pipe.
